I would bet you it's sinuses. There were times I felt like I couldn't breath a weird tickle in my throat. Immediate bennies help immediately. I have had anaphylactic shock from a certain antibiotic years ago.
I had a doc tell me all the OTC flonase is not good for people because they take it for a long time and get worse symptoms? I had the skin allergy testing. Is there another kind?

Yea they told.me the Flonase isn't something to take constantly. I think you can have allergy testing thru blood work as well

The septum was fairly obvious with a basic exam. Had CAT scans for everything else. Congestion shows as white, not gray. Head looked like a snowball there was so much white.

Yea 2nd surgery they fixed my deviated septum and did a Fess as well. I appreciate all of the input and hopefully this will do the trick but it seems like there no end in sight

Don't have any advice but hope you get it straightened out. I just consecutively had a viral sinus infection for a week and a bacterial sinus infection for another week.

Have you looked for a dietary cause for the mucus buildup?
Eta: My daughter was recently told wheat was causing her sinus issues. I am a veteran of two sinus surgeries and 5 years of allergy shots and my issues got better when I cleaned up my diet.

I'm glad your symptoms are better. But Symbicort and Breo Ellipta are basically the same thing. Different ingredients, but the same mechanisms of action. Symbicort is more proven for treating asthma. Breo Ellipta is newer, has less evidence of benefit in asthma (so far at least), and is more expensive (still under patent).

I have had 3 sinus surgeries (balloon Sinuplasty) over the last 18 months.
I kept getting infected during the recoveries and developing scar tissue which had to be removed with another surgery.
I have been on heavy oral anti infectives and steroids off and on during this period to get rid of it.
Best thing now is the nasal rinse with a compounded anti infective and a compounded steroid that I mix into the nasal wash--2 to 3 times a day.
You should have seen some of the crap that came out when I did that--I had no idea that that much crap could possibly be in my sinus cavity!!
Good luck with it.

I don't think food allergies was included in my allergy testing on my arms. How did they conclude wheat for your daughter?

It is not a food allergy, strictly speaking. The wheat causes an inflammatory response. The mucus build up, and in her case, bronchitis, is a result of the inflammation. A test will not necessarily reveal it but removal from the diet shows the accuracy of the recommendation.
ETA: If you are interested in more, and it appears that you are in Lafayette, contact Dr. Edward Lafleur before you have another surgery.

Did you have your surgery in office? Like this? LINK Does insurance pay for this procedure? I read that all other things like antibiotics and so on have been exhausted before this procedure is done. Is this like the surgery I heard of before; that they drain the mucous?

I didn't have the balloon procedure but the other posters had experience with it. Mine was outpatient and one I had to stay in the hospital

I saw my ENT this morning. My entire problem was an ear tube that has been in a year (which was put in because of earaches which were allergy caused) was lodged sideways. I was near deaf in my left ear. I was and still am in pain. Right there in office he removed the tube and left the hole in my ear.
I went to go get my allergy shot and everything has changed. They had some studies and now I have to go 7 DAYS without allegra or bennies or vertigo medicine for motion sickness/Vertigo because of my ear. It is allergen-skin testing and more accurate and they added a bunch more very prone to allergies to my area. So for a week I will be a bitch.
and then I hope to God the shots will work.
I will be self injecting once a week-- but still have to pick up the allergen shot but I can pick up more than a weeks dose at a time.
