Redesigning the javelin to fit Lamars limp wristed throwing style was genius.
Lamar also grew up to be a hero.
He assisted Doug Masters in planning a rescue mission into Libya to save an American POW.

Lou "Poindexter" Collins went on to graduate becoming a well known local baseball player that later blossomed into a one of the top prospects in the Minnesota Twins organization.
After progressing through the minors, he eventually landed in the big leagues for good at first base and had an exceptional career becoming one of owner Thomas Heywood's most adored players.
When Heywood died suddenly, he left the team to his grandson Billy, a move that shocked the MLB industry as a whole. When Billy Heywood then decided to manage the team, they were ridiculed... a move that almost forced the commissioner to step in and intercede. Collins had one of his best seasons with the Twins surprisingly coming within a Ken Griffey Jr hall of fame type catch from the playoffs.
Collins retired that season saying it was the most fun he had ever had; ironically, he later married Jenny Hey wood and became a stepfather to Billy.

Then he went on to become a great ER doctor
And for some reason, changed his name to Mark Greene.
While serving in the ER in Chicago, he and his wife divorced, which had a terrible impact on their daughter, Rachel Greene.
Rachel later moved to New York and lived amongst Friends, and her father Dr. Greene had some plastic surgery and hair implants:

Damn you, I was going to go with the "thirtysomething" or "Field of Dreams" angle!
