There is a guy on the political board trying to claim this. He says he got this information from the CDC website. I had to post this so more people could witness his stupidity.

according to the CDC's website, the first ever case was March 2014, so 300 for the year is plausible

sounds like just cases of brown acid...

cdc website

The cause wasn't poisoning, but I doubt he jumps without eating the cookie.

Kind of like blaming alcohol for drunk driving crashes

bro this is in their report.

quote:

he jumped off a fourth floor balcony and died from trauma. The autopsy, performed 29 hours after time of death, found marijuana intoxication as a chief contributing factor.

What an idiot

Did this dumbdumb post a link to his sources or in typical PT fashion just spew some shite they read on facebook and posted it as fact?

ETA: Just saw link. That's not poisoning, that's Darwinism.

It is probably the only contributing factor; well that and the idea to jump off the balcony.

Doesn't mean it is poisoning though.

You can have a .09 BAC and kill someone I a car wreck. They didn't die of alcohol poisoning, but alcohol will be the primary contributor.

it's science man

I do find it funny that a coroner would claim a guy who fell off a building "chief contributing factor." of death as pot, not the ground

Well, that's great.

Can you defend the legalization of pot without comparing it to alcohol or other drugs?

Yes.

Humans have self-ownership, ideally. As such, it is up to an individual's discretion what they wish to do their body, provided it does not infringe on another person's well-being or property. This discretion extends to everything from tattoos and piercings, to cheeseburgers and PCP. The criminalization of an act that is done to the self (even if it is objectively harmful) is ridiculous. I would also add that it is ridiculous to externalize the costs or burden to others that result from these actions.
