BTW, anyone that says they saw it live is wrong, it was not live, it happened about 9:30, channel 2 showed it at 10 o'clock news

Where are you getting your time reference from? This is really in contrary to my memory and I'm curious now....

Doucet arrived and was led in handcuffs by police officers through the airport, at around 9:30PM Central Time.

It's difficult to blame Gary, regardless of the sentence one way or the other. A man rapes your child repeatedly like that, and it's a no brainer that you want that piece of shite to pay, and then some. Now, the rest is between him and God, but for me to sit here and condemn the man for taking the law into his own hands for what was done to his little boy, it just isn't going to happen. I think most people get it. The law can do what it wants, but so will the dad, damn the consequences.

fricking this.

your mind and emotions take over, and the mind is a powerful thing. No way in hell Gary though he was doing something wrong. His mind was telling him that it was ok and the right thing to do.

I fully agree, Gary has to live with what he did for the rest of his life, but he would of had to live with the thought of what should he of done if he did nothing, and from Gary's words on the ESPN piece, I think we know how he feels

"If I could dig him up, I would shoot him again"

I stand corrected. The police report states that it happened at 9:22 pm. I guess the memories of a 12 year old aren't perfect.

Also, the program director from channel 2 told Mr. Gary, that's how he found out. I think he was fired shortly after. He probably wanted to create a scene and it would be news worthy. He probably wasn't counting on what happened.

If Gary was on the phone with your dad, then we either played ball together or at least attended a few crawfish boils with one another

The crawfish boils maybe. You probably played ball with my older brother. I was a pathetic athlete. My brother got all of the athletic skill.

I've never met anyone that knows about the story and doesnt say they'd do the exact same thing if they could. I can say right now I would if that happened to my kid.

Everyone says they would but when it comes down to it, 99.9999% don't.

I knew 1 of the Plauche kids during this time and at the time had no problem with what Gary did then. Now that I have a couple of kids of my own, I hope I would have the strength to do what Gary did. The consequences would not outweigh a turd walking the street on a technicality.

how can someone say this with a straight face?

You realize the consequences would be you not being able to raise your children for years and years, right?

It's ridiculous to think that's worth shooting the person over.

Please cite some examples that shows this. Only case I know of around here was Gary and he went to a halfway house for less than a year.

If you could honestly see your child being abused and just stand there thinking "nah, ain't worth going down for murder 1" then I just..I just don't even know what to say about that.
