OSHA probably has a reg for this. If they don’t they need one and someone to teach shite safety.

Just read a story on manure pits. Had no idea they were that dangerous. Basically toxic gases can accumulate within them and kill people or livestock who get close.

Imagine how it felt to realize that was the way you were. Going to die. They knew they were in deep shite.

There was a story on here how a dad and 2 brothers died in the same way. If it’s that toxic, how are there not better safety measures taken? I think the dad and brother story was likely that one fell in and the other 2 died trying to get them out. But I don’t understand how you don’t have a safety plan if anything just a winch and a rope?

I once raised quail, and caught there manure in an oil drip pan from Orileys, would put it in compost bin for garden. That manure would burn the hairs out of your nostrils.

Also if interested, goggle biogas digester. Places in Africa use animal manure to create fuel for cooking and heating homes. I almost tried it one day but never got around to it.

Uhh, yeah. Masks to protect themselves from methane fumes probably would have helped.
