They did. Everyone did. Just nothing you can do to stop it.

I remember them trying to start things up in North LV. I saw a few fires and remember seeing them bust out the windows at a Kenny's Shoes to loot it.

Yep. Brick to

Unless that guy just had no idea what was going on and was in shock, I don't understand how you get pulled out of your rig. Anybody who climbed on would be in for the ride of their lives. Their very short lives.

He didn't have a radio in the truck and had no idea he was driving into a riot.

I was still in high school but remember bits and pieces of the Koreans and the guns and remember thinking it seemed normal for them to have whatever you want to call it to stand up and protect.

I remember the Rodney King video getting heavy play. Watching Reginald Denny being dragged out and beaten from a news helicopter POV. The looting and fires with huge plumes of smoke seen at far distance. Forgot about the Koreans defending their businesses.

That people couldn't buy lottery or malt liquor for three weeks. The horror.

That mass 'political protesting' involving breaking things and stealing stuff has since obviously reshaped these desolate spots in America and given them hope, opportunity, and a future...

Oh wait. They're still shitholes, despite the enlightened rioters.
