As much of a failure as the Obama administration has been, I would forget all about it if he actually came out and called for the black population to step up to the plate and change their direction. He has the perfect platform to have done something about it, but ignored it just as everyone else does.
Nothing will change until this type of behavior is not accepted from within.

i grew up around black people and represent a bunch of them. i know literally thousands on a personal level. they know what condoms are. condoms are not seen as masculine (just like masturbation). it's a cultural trait
this is a lower class mindset that goes beyond race. physical power is a major positive aspect of life, and virility is an example of that.

The guys who shot each other were most probably not dealing drugs down there. Why would they want all of that heat brought on them? Answer is that they wouldn't do it right there
You can either have someone you know and have a halfway decent relationship with(who just happens to be dealing drugs), or have a bunch of rowdy young guns fighting over the place for months. You pick your poison, but the answer is obvious to me
