Its not an automatic, its a dual clutch. They're night and day different.

ahh come on man. That Demon is a dedicated niche vehicle aka : COPO Camaro and Cobrajet. Line lock, transbrake?

The GT00 should be compared to the Hellcat and ZL1 only.

LOL not quite. Dodge still makes the Dragpak to compete with COPO and Cobrajet. None of those are street legal, the Demon is. It does take a lot for the Demon to hit the advertised numbers though...and it is aimed solely at 1/4 mile racing. I agree the Hellcat is probably the more appropriate comparison to the GT500 and ZL1.

It's amazing that you can drop 70k on a fricking camaro or Mustang and compete with 150k-200k cars on the track

...and even more amazing is the fact that people will still shite all over affordable American-made supermuscle cars. Fricking Prius generation.

dedicated items for drag racing. Line lock holds the front brakes locked for heating up the rear tires, transbrake lets you rev the motor to its most powerful rpm and hold it there then releases the transmission with the push of a button.

True. But Braydon and his step-dad out in Livingston Parish will be. They will take it to the track and either total it within a week or get their arse drugged by some real race cars with real horsepower.

A manual transmission has become obsolete with the new autos.

They are efficient, strong, and you can pack a lot of ratios into 8-10 gears.

Bruh, Jeeps are fun AF (I own one), but nothing beats going fast in a sports car.

GM is dropping the Camaro:

The sports car is midway through its life cycle and won’t be replaced when it ends in 2023, according to musclecarsandtrucks.com.

The Camaro came in a distant third in the muscle car sales race last year behind the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, with less than 51,000 sold in the U.S., and received an emergency cosmetic redesign for 2020 after the 2019 update was poorly received.

Looks like Ford made them quit.

How anyone at GM thought that was a good looking design, I have no idea....

The Camaro hasn't looked good in years.

They somehow made a shite remake of their old design while everyone else made great looking cars

I liked the '16 version

But it's definitely the least appealing of the big 3. Having said that, the Challenger really needs a refresh.
