How much chemical do you pour into the trench? How often do you treat? Where do you purchase it at?

This right here would make me to continue paying for it. Ain't no damn way I'm doing this with all the other shite I have to take care of. It not that damn much to have the termite guy come treat the house. $200-225 per year at most.

4 gallons of mixture per 10’. They claim that your treated soil will continue to be effective up to 10 years later but it’s cheap enough to buy and reapply every few years just to be safe.

And where in Baton Rouge would someone be able to buy Taurus SC without a license or certifications of some sort?

You no longer need a license to buy it. Termidor’s patent expired a handful of years ago, allowing for generics to be made and sold to the public. Enter Taurus SC. Same exact stuff and apparently it’s EXTREMELY effective. I haven’t had it long enough to know yet. It’s $95 for enough to treat a large house.

Ok. Cool. This part of the label made me wonder.

I had almost forgotten. How I hated them.

One night we came out of a play near Poydras and it looked like we were walking into a blizzard. Then the damned bugs started landing on us and the sidewalk was almost invisible for all the wings.

On at least one building in the French Quarter where friends were renting, you could hear the chomping one of the door casings.

10’ long? Wouldn’t the length be determined by the length of whatever slab you’re trenching around?

Tonight is the first night I have seen them this year. Checking in from Riverbend in BR. They were so bad I turned off all my outdoor floodlights.

You repeat the process until your entire peremiter is treated.

First night for them in my section of Old Metairie. Turn off the lights, close the blinds.

I assumed that means you use the entire 4 gallon mixture every 10 feet.

What if I have a concrete slab along the back of my house. Should I do the same along the length of this slab; or do I need to do something around the foundation?

The directions say to drill holes and pour the mixture into the holes. Seems to me you’d be doing that all day long in order to get enough into the hole.

But who am I to doubt their directions. That’s what pest control companies do so it must work.

Also — Taurus SC is a non-repellent which means termites don’t detect it so they go crawling right through and over it. Once they come in contact with it, it enters their bodies. Termites regurgitate wood that they eat for the other termites to eat and follow. This is how it’s able to kill entire colonies within months.

UMMMM.....FOR YOU ROOKIES OUT THERE!

You can spray all you want. It will do you no good. These termites are not the same that's in your house. These swarms are unstoppable. This is the time of the year when all the bug control companies make their money. Cause inexperience people think they can kill them. But they can't. Just wait till the 1st of June and it will be over with.
