5.4 was in 2009. Halfway through 2010 then made a few 6.2L. You could get either for a few months

I know because I waited for a 6.2

Will be in my garage come fall of this year. The Supercrew version was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show this week.

Gonna need a link on that one.

Did they not?

I could have sworn they were touting how they ran the baja 1000 in an ecoboost raptor. To try to stress test the ecoboost motor when it first came out.

Where in the power band will it make all those #s? 8,000RPM?

Go look up the ecoboost V6

Turbo motors have far superior torque curves than N/A motors.

They did run the Ecoboost in the Baja 1000, but the previous production Raptor did not have the Ecoboost as an option.

If that sob hits 8,000 you will get a real close up look at the rods in it.

They ran the 5.4. The 5.4 again with the new 6 speed transmission. The 6.2 and then the ecoboost ran it.

LINK

Scroll down to raptor

They were released but only had a few in dealerships.

Check out any raptor forum they are for sale. Most are totaled by now and are just parts trucks.

They may have been released in calendar year 2009, but they were a 2010 model year truck.

Less chance of hitting skid plate.

It is negligible I agree. 11 inches is nothing

But it is why jeeps are used more offroad than anything else

correct. Any vehicle with the sticker showing build date after the 8th month of any year is a next years model.
