I singled the dl and finished in under 3 minutes.

How far did you get on the calorie row?
55 cals. Finished the row and got to HSPUs with only 5 seconds or so left.

Finished the row with 2 minutes left.
Got a whopping 10 handstand PUs.
Shoulders locked out and I was a pussy after that.
Doing it again.

I was highly considering doing the DLs in sets of 5, but now y'all have me thinking singles might be the right call. Save the lungs a bit more for the WBs.

Not doubting you, but that's truly hard to believe. You fully extending yourself at the top of the lift? That's basically not letting go of the bar at all (i.e. unbroken). We've got some really good performers in the gym and I don't think any of them have finished under 3:00 in the DLs.
Good job!

I fricked up and did 25 DL in the first minute and went downhill from there. Didn't make it off the rower.
I'll redo on Monday.
Wife was my judge and no-repped me on wall balls 2 times to start and I was like WTF? Never again!

I promise. You pull fast and take only a couple breathes between sets. I finished at 2:58.
Lester, mixed grip. One hand each way.

Normally I would too, but eff that noise on this one!!! My problem was I no repped more (5-6+ times) on WBs.

Lol I know you got 55 cals, how far was the distance for you though

Sets of 5 is manageable.....

I get a calorie per pull on most pulls, and that's with it set at about 5.5-6. But rowing is my best thing.
I should do well in this one. Doing it either tomorrow or Sunday

Damn that's super impressive. Love seeing stuff like that.
I've been going about 7-8 months and this is my first open, been pretty humbling considering how bad I am at shite like double unders and muscle ups.
Not sure what my strategy will be yet but I think I'm going to just go single on Dead lifts. The weight isn't a problem but I have pretty terrible form when I am trying to rush. It starts looking awful.
Wall balls aren't a problem for me so I'll probably go by 10 or 15 at a time
Rowing is my strength. And I'm hoping I can at least get to hspu. If I have a minute or so I should be able to get around 10. I'd be very pleased with that.

Rowing was the worst. It doesn't matter how good you are at rowing. Your mind wants to shut your body down at that point.

man i fricked my back up 2 years ago trying to touch n go on a heavy 5 RM, and had a near 6 month recovery before i could do anything. if the form isnt there, dont risk it.

I guess I can see it if your pulling really fast. I was pulling pretty damn fast (at least it felt like it) and I know my rest was short.
Wish I would have paid more attention to how fast I did the DLs. I know it was more than 3:30, but way under 5:00.

Lol, I'm dumb. Thought the cals was obvious. No clue on the distance.

What setting are most using for the rowing?

I went with my normal setting which is about 8. Now is not the time to experiment. Just go with what you normally use.
