I disagree with the spark plug diagnosis. Most plugs go 100K or more.
I'd be looking for something knocked loose, like a hose or plug (electrical), maybe even down by the trans.
Does the boost gauge show boost?

"5000rpm to get to highway speeds" does not = "goes nowhere". It means the truck is slow. I imagine the person asking for advice isn't a technician, so the terminology isn't exactly going to be precise.
The transmission would quickly no longer function if was run without fluid. But sure, throw the underboost code out of the window, too.
Also, no factory boost gauge on 12's

He is correct my truck doesn't have the boost gauge.

Ah, OK.
I still think it is something simple, unless the turbo just coincidentally failed. A hard enough lick and it could've messed it up.

I did take it back to the Ford dealer that did the body work. I hope to hear something soon.
Thanks for the info, if they cannot find the root cause several on here have given me areas to start looking into.

It was a solid hit to the front end of the truck. The ford repair shop said they had no reason to check the engine because it showed no visible damage outside of the inter-cooler and radiator.

They're bad about wastegates sticking open.
I dont imagine that would just pop up when the charge air cooler was punctured in the accident as well. 4 hoses, 8 hose clamps as a possible boost leak. All put back together by the body shop.....

I got this exact truck last month and the day I got it the fuel pump went out. Had all of the same symptoms you're having. I'd look at that.

Yup.

In about 5000 miles if you start getting a weird vibration, check the motor mounts.
A good lick like that will compromise them, but it will take a bit for it to show up.

Turbos are notorious for chewing up spark plugs at a faster clip.

Thanks guys, if they can't find the issue i'll start trying some of these other suggestions.
Posted on 3/9/16 at 1:39 pm to bigtiger440
It's probably just a charge air hose loose/blown off somewhere.

Ah, thanks.
Higher heat, I assume?

The issue is that you got a V-6 engine that's been known to have power issues when accelerating.
That's why I stayed away from the eco-boost and got the 6.2 V8.
It's a fricking farce that they are putting an ecoboost in the Raptor.

the truck just revs really high and doesn't accelerate.
This is the key.
Your transmission is slipping. Namely the torque converter. May be low on transmission fluid as well.
My thought exactly. Sounds like motor is revving fine just not accelerating which i would first suspect the transmission. If you had damage to the front it could have busted a line if the truck has a transmission cooler thus leaking fluid, thus burning the clutch pack. Once burnt......its burnt and does exactly this.

The front was damaged, it is doing exactly like you described. I will have the Ford dealership check the tranny if all else fails.
