Well the law provides for self defense and justifiable homicide. Louisiana is also a stand your ground state meaning that you don't have an obligation to retreat when you're met with real threat and can meet force with force.
The white trash murdered an innocent man when he called them out on littering and fricking with the waterways of this state. And now they're going to spend decades in prison for it and will never ever know what financial freedom looks like.

how do you know he was innocent and not engaging them aggressively?
did he not initiate the confrontation?
i mean... he could have been yelling or screaming at them...maybe threatening them?
i don't know. i just like to look at both sides.

There's a difference between a frank chat with another stranger as that may not be cordial but it's not a perceived threat to the other party and a full blown fight that has to be started by someone.
According to the sheriff's office here, the victim started a frank chat and the other started the fight in response that eventually killed the victim.

Gonna be really tough to successfully argue three on one against a partially disabled middle aged man as self defense. Maybe a hotshot attorney could pull it off but these layabouts don't have the money for that. What's going to happen is one of these frickwits will cop a plea and leave the others to take the lifetime lease at Angola.

Yep.
This will probably be one of the easiest games of divide and conquer the ADA will play.
And even then, whoever manages to get the plea first will still be pretty fricked as civil court will make sure it will be a long, long, long time before financial freedom can ever be truly gained.
