Timbuctoo is currently under a tornado warning.
No, not the famous one. This Timbuctoo is in northern California.

I got caught in a zero visibility dust storm near Demming a few years ago. One of the scariest moments ive had in this job - I keep my eyes peeled for airborne dust now when the winds get kicked up out west. That shite suuuuuucked.

Some of the cooler dust storm footage you'll see. Of course, it is a lot different when you aren't being chased by it.

Should get some big hailers if the cap can break and storms get going.

It's being described as a "25 to 100 year flood event, generational or even lifetime level" in the flood watch issued in Arkansas. Areas that have rarely or never seen flooding are possible throughout the next 4 days, with some areas seeing over a foot of rain up to 18 inches - while 10-ish inches are likely throughout the warned area.
I hope they're wrong, but it isn't looking good. It's being described as "extremely rare" in the wording of the LR office's flood watch. Pretty alarming

We are expecting 8-12 inches of rain. As if Kentucky doesn't have enough flooding issues.
Sigh

Those two northern cells are interesting. They started out as two little individual beans moving NNE, merged, grew, and then split. And it looks like the southern of those two may merge with the other cell to its south in a bit.

Looks like DFW will dodge the worst bullets tonight but could be a nasty line that moves through here overnight. Prayers up for Okie, Kansas and Arky.

Ended up having a small lightning storm but not much so far
That small lightning storm thankfully got us out of that eternity meet.
