Want to know the start of the school’s problem in avoyelles parish and many others? Desegregation by a federal judge.
Oh dear God, PREACH! This has killed/is killing many Louisiana school districts. The sad thing is that these lawsuits are initiated by groups who have no stake at all in the system (I’m looking at you, NAACP). They shite all over everything, then just move on to the next victim.

Why is everyone shitting all over this kid? I understand he's motivated and sharp - better than we get with the typical school board candidate.
I'll take the exuberance and occasionally misguided exuberance of youth over an ignorant, fat and lazy do nothing.

Hopefully he reworks the TOPS thing to include everyone, not just the rich whiteys this time
Good point Cup. We need to have separate standards for separate races. Wypipo must get a 26 on the ACT, blacks need a 20, and Asians need a 32 to get TOPS

Other than a millinial that is "one with the peeps," what does he know thats going to help? I mean if he had some corporate experience and a college degree, and is like maybe 10yrs removed from the kids then that would be different. But instead a 19yo from a "C" avg school is going to truly "change" things??
Otherwise this kid brings nothing to the table. Seriously what are kids going thru now that older people didnt go thru? Same zebra different stripes. Kids need to make sure they educate themselves.
Better chance this kid saw the movie or show about this, and was another lazy fricker that said he'd give it a go.

Kinda like taking Will Wade over your buddy Johnny Jones?

Ah yes.. because since half of them are failing.. let’s make sure they are at least happy and failing

I know this kid and he is pretty sharp. He has traveled all over the country through various clubs like 4-H, FFA, Beta, and his non-profit he started so he is well-rounded and knowledgeable. With that being said though the only reason he ran is because he, along with a few other newly elected candidates, want to see a new charter school allowed in Avoyelles Parish. These candidates were either on the board for the newly proposed charter school or had close ties to it. The old board wouldn’t go for a new charter school so they decided to get their own board members elected to see it pushed through. Will be interesting to see what happens when they take office in January.
