Yeah maybe the average american can not identify them but the professional vet or animal control personnel can.

There are no "unbiased" sources on the topic. It's either people trying to educate others on the breeds or the media that vilifies them

I'm not a vet but I'd be willing to bet that any vet will tell you that a pitbull is more aggressive and dangerous than an equally trained lab, retriever, shepard, etc.
