I don't think it's horrible for them to be trick or treating, but just trying to think of a way fun to mess with them for doing it at that age. Not wanting to be an arse.

Really!

These people are going to die an early death worrying about such lame things.

I would prefer to have slut dressed trick or treaters as opposed to those dressed like gang members.

In other word, their usual school attire.

Basically, giving them candy make sure they don't roll your house later that evening. It's sort of like the Mob coming by offering protection, but then proceed to blow up your house if you don't pay it.

I pick my battles. I'd rather give the kids a fricking kit-kat than chose Halloween to make my big social commentary.

I wouldn't piss off a bunch of 17 year olds too much who know where you live and can't fully grasp the consequences if their actions all the time.

You can always do the two bowl thing, where you have one bowl of good stuff for cute little kids and the bowl of crappy candy like red & white star peppermints and butterscotch for ones you don't think deserve your treats. (BTW, those black & orange wrapped crap candy someone mentioned above were always called "mung" by us. )

Or you can just give them the same stuff, but make them answer a question like "In all the years you've trick or treated, what was your favorite costume ever?"

Here's a different perspective on "too-old" trick or treaters: LINK.

I would rather the Older kids come around and get candy then go out and get shite faced and drive while other kids are outside.
