There is nothing propagandaish about Robert Reich's writings.

failing to see bias in any one persons writing is naive at best.

But there is about Friedman?

You need to be more objective. Remember vaccines?

Minimum hasn't kept up with inflation. I agree with Robert Reich and Tim Robbins: a REASONABLE minimum wage increase (to $15) is long overdue.

So glad you posted this twice so I could downvote it twice

These are brilliant men. You may not agree with their findings and conclusions, but this says it all. "Right wing propaganda."

Reich is a decent guy, overall, but using your standards, his stuff is "left wing propaganda."

Nice troll job, H.

He's clearly partisan. He worked for the Carter and Clinton administration (he also worked under Robert Bork in the Ford Administration, but that was a non-partisan position in the solicitor general's office).

What political appointments did Friedman, Williams or Sowell hold?

Friedman won the Nobel freakin' Prize in Economics.

Good.

Now you have 3 employees per shift:

2 mechanics and a boss.

You replace unskilled labor with skilled labor and efficiency. Increasing profits as well as quality and efficiency of the restraunt.

But why bash on people who work?

Where did I bash them? I said they were unskilled, and that's a fact. Almost anyone can be trained to do their job in under a week. That's why they're paid at minimum wage.

The whole point of this thread is low skilled workers should really be thankful for the job they have and work to advance within it or educate themselves to the point they aren't easily replaced by a robot or someone without a high school diploma.

Fighting for $15/hour will have the exact opposite impact on their jobs than what they are hoping. Technology can make unskilled labor disappear quickly.

I'm not reading "Tyranny of the Status Quo."

I will read the Sowell book cited.

Nothing to do with economics but we need these machines now!! I'm sick and tired of half arse assembled hamburgers that you have to question if its even edible because of how sick/lazy some of these fast food workers are. And just to hit on the minimum wage, I doubt raising it to $15 will have these people putting more effort or care into the making of the burger.. So bring on the machine, it cant get much worse

Where? In NYC or San Fran maybe. In Puerto Rico, not so much.

Why would it? That is a pretty terrible benchmark to base an opinion off of.

Yeah, you either take pride in the work you do or you don't. The amount you are paid has nothing to do with it. There isn't some arbitrary number where a switch flips and you experience the "I give a frick now" epiphany.
