That is such BS..You have to tell your kid not to steal your CC and destroy a house?
When I was in high school I had a couple of big parties..hell my parents paid for the kegs. They knew we wouldn't destroy anything because we would have beaten the shite out of anyone who tried.

Oh for frick’s sake, you’re the goddamn parents. You don’t “talk” to your kids about this kind of stuff. You let it be known at an early age, if you try to do something like this, your arse will be beaten.
This is what happens when you neuter parents from their disciplinarian responsibilities.
Wanna know why I never did anything like this? Because if I would’ve, I would’ve literally gotten beat the frick out of by my dad. And I had actual respect for my parents because of that.
And people wonder why their kids are horribly behaved nowadays.
Furthermore, did this little bitch not think her parents were gonna notice a couple hundred dollars discrepancy on their CC report?

Not at all. Guy was as laid back and cool as could be. Gave us a place to hang out and drink without all the BS other parents would have given us. He knew we would drink. He just provided a place to do it so we wouldn’t be on the road.
Of course this was the 80s and the culture was different.
But we never resorted to stealing credit cards and trashing a house to the tune of $20k, so there’s that.

Something tells me that if their 14 year old takes the credit card, rentsa house, and throws a party that causes $20k in damages, the parents aren't really that good at disciplining her.

I've read the comments about the parents being shite, which they probably are but what about the dumb arse that rented the place to the kid? Does that dumb arse have no responsibility in this since they accepted the credit card without ID and age verification? Yes the kid and their parents need to take some responsibility but so does the dumb arse that rented to a 14 year old kid.

Yep. That was my life- party at my house . We brought a keg on the roof. Just crazy stuff every weekend and my Dad was a legend with the other kids. I made good grades and played sports so it was never like a bunch of dead- enders, it was just the party spot .

My uncle used to let his kids have parties at his house... same idea as what you're describing. Some kid was salty he wasn't invited so he called the police and my aunt and uncle were arrested. I think they had to do some community service.

Same. This guys kids were athletes and excelled academically. He was a typical dad otherwise, but he gave us a place to hang out and do our thing. It was great. While other kids got DWIs, we always had a place to go so we weren’t on the road drinking and driving. Glad he gave us the option. He never hung out with us. Just left us alone and kept to himself. Overall he did a pretty damn good for a single dad raising three kids.
