14-year-old arrested for murdering dad's fiancée, St. Tammany officials say

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — A 14-year-old Slidell-area boy has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his dad's fiancée. Officials say the juvenile called 911 around 6:30 a.m. to report his dad's live-in fiancée had been shot.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Pelican Street and located the woman deceased with a gunshot wound.
The woman was identified by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office as 43-year-old Misty Laizer. The juvenile admitted to shooting the woman over a dispute, according to the STPSO.
He was arrested for second-degree murder and will be booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
