No she didn't. The kid didn't respect or fear her authority at all. She established no authority over him. What she said and did would have meant shite all if he hadn't gotten tossed like a rag doll by the man beforehand.

Uppity kids like that who are already committing crimes (he was caught breaking into cars) and starting fights with grown men need to get their arse beat, it's the only way they'll learn.
