Never remembered any ghettos in Central. A few trashy apartments/duplexes, maybe.

FWIW, Central Woods is the slum area of Central. Nothing but low rent duplexes and (stolen) Wal-Mart shopping carts as far as you can see.

It was crap back there in the early/mid 90s when I was in HS. It was really the only fairly ghetto area in Central back then.
I don't really remember any shootings though but I'm sure it's worse now.

11406 Forest Grove Ave, Central. When you see apartment complexes that look like this you know hoodrats are lurking. Looks like something you’d see in Mall City, from a window from the Bon Carre business center.

It's not as bad as a BR ghetto but if you told me there was a non domestic murder in Central, Central Woods would have been my first guess.

According to Kirans article, EBSO have detained a man and a woman during a traffic stop. It sounds like a targeted hit/drive-by on an adult/s and the 12 year old girl was sadly killed as a bystander. These people have such zero regard for human life, it’s disgusting.

You got these activist Mayors who meddle in the media, in which they ban booking photos of violent, repeat offenders. Booking photos are racist in their stupid minds. Their main goal is to minimize violent crime, when in fact, violent crime is raging out of control.

A family member confirmed to WBRZ that the man at the home and the female with him were involved in a current relationship, and that the woman with the 12-year-old, who came to the doorway, was an ex-girlfriend of the man.
A dispute followed, and the current girlfriend allegedly shot at the visitors, hitting the 12-year-old. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The female left the home with the man, but they were both detained by law enforcement a short time later.
A relative told WBRZ the 12-year-old was a 6th grader at Park Forest Middle School.

Won’t stop until we public officials go back to how it was when they were kids. Prayer in school, arse whippings at home, and a good wooden paddling in school for acting out!
