I started to mention Grant in the OP, but hoped people would read the link.

History has and will always be rewritten. Because it is a narrative using evidence to present ideas. Read a book.

What most people want is for these things to be discussed. All evidence need to be presented in any narrative given, not a whitewashing to only the "good" things.

So, 1/3 of our first 18 presidents were poor?

What if all Presidents owned slaves?

Other than the top 1%, I'd say most are indentured in one form or another.

That's how retarded regarding history most people are.

Most of those people don't even know who was IN the Civil War! They only know what they are told.

Should we go back through archives and find the descendants of black slave owners?

What should happen with them? Would they be considered even worse?

First off, Poli Board, dip shite.

Second, by pointing out that 12 of the first 18 US Presidents owned slaves, you're validating one of the left's articles of faith, viz. that this country was built on slave labor. So thanks for that.

So 100 years from now they will teach that the Founding Fathers were bad men because they owned slaves? Or that they didn't even exist? I mean, what else could you POSSIBLY be referring to? My comment was in regard to the fact the Founding Fathers owned slaves, which clearly makes them monsters that should not be celebrated according to some today. So are you suggesting that history will be rewritten without the FFs, because they do not fit the narrative? Or that they were men who did nothing but horrible things because they owned slaves?

You can't change the fact that George Washington owned slaves, so are we going to label him a monster and erase him from American History?

So what exactly is rewritten all the time?

These idiots want to erase any sign of slavery or slave owners from society, as if removing monuments changes the fact that it occurred, or that there are people alive that still cling to what those men fought and died for.
