I went to Eunice over a year ago and it was the first time I ever had any actual concern over leaving my car somewhere. People just walk all over down there like zombies at night, plenty of druggies and what not. I stopped for gas before heading back home and the dude inside had bullet proof glass up as well as a gun holstered on the counter.

Hammond? Really? LOL! I mean economically, that city boomed after Katrina but then has hit the skids for the past 5 years. But crime? Whatever!

The obviously more dangerous cities are left out because of the general size of their total populations.

Break it down by neighborhood or square mile areas and you'd get a completely different result.

Or, really, just confine it to murders instead of the vague and not completely defined "crimes," and that would pretty much spell it out, population size or not.

This has to be a bogus arse list without Baton Rouge and New Orleans on it

its per capita

it only takes a few instances to make it to the top of the list if you have towns with 2501 people on the list.

it tells you what the metric is based on. crime per 10k people. pretty straight forward imo
this, a lot of folks don't quite understand the metric gauging population numbers. Stats don't lie.

Monroe is not dangerous at night unless you are walking around in the south side. People say Monroe is dangerous, no it is not unless you are in the bad areas on the Southside/hood.

according to that website in 2013, in Denham Springs there were 0 murders, 2 rapes, 10 robberies, 0 cases of arson, 48 cases of assault, and it had a violent crime rate nearly equal to Baton Rouge. Yeah, I'm calling bullshite.

I live in a small town in Cenla, and I've noticed a big change in the last three or four years. Lots of vagrants, homeless, whatever you want to call them, of all races. On foot or on hoopty bicycles. That is something you never used to see around here. A few months ago we had an attempted armed robbery on Main Street about two blocks from the courthouse, and car breakins have become common, even in the nicer subdivisions.

Did you read it? It's definitely not on there. Maybe put your glasses on and read it again.
