Yes, they CAN be, if the person doing them doesn't know what they're doing, fries them too long, doesn't inject them with delicious butter and seasoning.
But if that's the logic, then Filet Mignon is not good. And any BBQ meat is not good.
My fried turkeys aren't dry at all.

True. I never use the pre-mixed injections. They all have an artificial taste, imo. But melted butter with some light cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Trust me, it's good.
