Their shite arse signal has to do with the class license they have at Guarenty Braudcasting. 98.1, 107.3 and a few others are the flagship stations so they get the strongest signals. 104.5/9 is low man on the pole and therefore get the leftovers basically. All of this is controlled by the FCC and there is nothing they can do about it.

Sounds like they have a lot to do about it. Upgrade the license for 104.5/9 and fricking make it a flagship as well. This is why it's happening and that pisses me off even more. They can do something about it. What they need is some local competition. That fixes everything.

I mean frick. There are AM stations with a better signal. If they switched over to AM radio, I would follow them every time I'm in the truck. Nope, instead I listen to NPR half the time.

It was so bad even crossing the old bridge - I had to listen online.

104.5 comes out of Jackson, La and 104.9 comes out of Donaldsonville. 104.9 is a much better station to listen to and the sound is much fuller. But both have plenty of recurring problems.

I'd imagine 104.5 has a wider audience than 107.3... Wonder why they don't put ESPN radio on the station with a stronger signal.

Les Miles is controlling the FCC.

Sorry, can’t comprehend what you say with the constant breakups and afro-hispanic music breaking through

I would use the huddle but the app keeps crashing on my phone

They have an ESPN radio app that I use when the signal is bad.

Are they competing with another station for the same frequency tonight?
Short answer: yes.

For the techno-dorks: it's called FM skip, and there are maps that show areas of enhanced propagation

Map 1
Map 2

For what it's worth, 104.5 in BR was returning the favor to some/many of the 175 other US & Canada stations on 104.5.

Whole lotta stations on that channel
