I remember the financial phases of my life by how I would panic if my account hit a certain number.
Graduated High School: $150 bucks
In College: $750 buck
You privileged frick
When I was in college, if I saw that my checking account had $2.68 my first thought was "sweet, I can have two spicy McChicken sandwiches for dinner."

We pay 22k per year, about 6k for aftercare (thankfully last year) and about 2k for summer camp.

Median for a HVAC tech is 40k. People bloat trade salaries for some strange reason.

I don't consider myself a baller and my wife pays bills but I think it's around 6k a year per kid then they hit you with another few thousands in fees. Also pay for after school care

That's 20% of HOUSEHOLDS.
A husband and wife can both make $50k and be in that club.
If an individual is making $100k, that's pretty good.

100k household income is not that much if you have a family
$100k for a family of 4 in LA would allow you to save $15k, pre-tax, and still save/spend $65k per year after taxes. Throw in wage growth of 2.7% with inflation of 3%, and assuming you haven't saved a penny before age 30, you'd still retire at 65 with over $2.5MM and have an ample amount (w/ SS) to last you through age 90. This assumes your spending has grown with inflation as well - you'd spend $183k of after tax income @ 65.

Because they know a guy that has owned his own trade business for 25 years and assumes that everyone in that field is doing as well.

Lol what I didnt say is I worked 50 hours at BBY and had a room mate . All while in school. I literally had a mobile office with me. I left the apartment @ 6:45am and didnt get hom til almost 11-12pm. 5 days a week.
I did basically the same thing. I had a couple part time jobs and sold my plasma twice a week so I could buy beer on the weekends.

On this board, people always bloat trade salaries. It is odd.
But everyone seems to "know a guy" that makes a lot.

Depending on health care costs and education expenses that's a really tight budget. I know because I sat down and did that for myself over the weekend.

Yes catholic but that 6 turns into 8 after you pay registration fee, technology fee, PE fee, etc. it's still very affordable for the quality of education they are getting
