1 Child Killed, 1 Resuscitated Following Wreck On US61

ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - One child is dead after a 3-vehicle wreck on U.S. 61 Friday night.

The wreck happened around 5:45 p.m. on U.S. 61 near LA 64 in Zachary. Officials with Louisiana State Police originally reported that two children were dead, however, paramedics were able to resuscitate one child, who is remains in critical condition. The ages and identities of the children have not been provided.

Emergency officials say numerous people were transported to a local hospital for treatment, some of which may be in critical condition.
