Who are the other half, those with employer-funded pensions?

The only people I know who have enough in retirement don’t have a family. So I’m sure they’ll enjoy dying a lonely slow death.

That actually sounds high.

My old neighbor probably didn’t have anything saved. Just lived off SS and disability. I doubt she even worked in the past. Just went to church.

I feel sorry for seniors that were getting to feel the pressure before inflation went berserk. Blows my mind how much we're paying for basic commodities in comparison to 4years ago. Retirement for GenX is going to be tough to estimate.

That number sounds low.

I’m assuming this number is based on black Americans who are actually saving for retirement (survey maybe only included black Americans with a 401k or ira). In that case, is probably the same across all races +/- 5 percent or so.

The survey probably left out all unemployed folks and people who work and do not contribute to a 401k/other retirement plan.

If that is supposedly an accurate stat, it has to mean half of all retirement aged blacks. If half of all working age blacks have enough to retire, then white privilege is officially dead.

They should probably stop voting for Dims and keeping themselves on the plantation, slim chance of that happening

That’s impressive but I figured it’d be significantly higher for every race. Most families live paycheck to paycheck.
