Jabari Safari.
I am overusing that nickname but I love it. (Thanks to whoever mentioned it.)
I've always wanted to be a CB so Cornerbacks are normally my favorite players.
Second favorite is obviously Tracy Porter, and then Brees is my third, of course.

I would have thought my favorite would have been a CB, since that is my position and the one I respect the most, but I remember being really excited when we drafted Alex Molden and have never forgiven myself for falling for that one.
ETA: CB "WAS" my position.

I was also dumb enough to think that Alex M. Was going to be a bad dude.

I was a big Ironhead fan back in the day (RIP).

gotta do eras...
early, Tommy Myers. Archie was good but Myers had an even higher quotient of quality of play to how little recognition. He was legit for a long time on some unbelievably inept teams.
Chuck Muncie. Yep, not much as a person back then. But a combination of power and speed that would have got him to the HOF if he wasn't so, er, detoured. Combined Galbreath it was quite a thunder n lightning duo to watch.
Rickey Jackson. I was pumping him for HOF before he retired. You can make a case that he was better than LT as the most dominant LB of the era.
Prolly my favorite player who only played about 5 years here was Sammy Knight. He was a championship caliber player. I was devastated and pissed when they went to incredifrick Tesucky Jones. I knew Haslett wouldn't last with that move (and sticking with injured Smiley Brooks over Jake).
Brees is holy of course. If he avoids injury he should make the HOF. All world beyond being a player as well.
But even though Drew is HOF material I sport a Vilma jersey at games. I had to be among the first people to even have one when he was traded. He isn't all world dominant but his combination of smarts, toughness, and being a gamer is the cornerstone of this D. As soon as he was acquired he became the main cog that makes it work.

These are great but they got me thinking...Morten Andersen probably won more games for the Saints than anyone...until Brees 2 years from now

LaRoi Glover's 2000 season will always make him a favorite of mine.
