I was in the Dome, Chugging the Foam, Pumped up to start the year. So much optimism. A new QB. MT13 back.
And then...we fumbled the fricking opening kickoff.
We should of known then what the frick this was going to be.

I remember in 1999 the saints were playing the Panthers the Panthers fumble the opening kickoff the Saints picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown.
They finished 3-13 that year.

Anyone remember running back the opening kickoff in franchise history for a TD?
We had our first winning season 20 years later.

So much crap over the years that it all melts together... The Saints were doing well. I believe it was a Monday night game against the 49ers (when they in our division). I was watching with a bunch of critics... The Saints were up and they blew it. Had to sit there and take the heat..

That Titans game was full of false hope. Thought the offense played sluggish because of line issues and facing the elite D-Line of the Titans. Thought Carr had the killer instinct when he went deep on 3rd down to Shaheed. Thought our defense was going to absolutely dominate teams after picking off Tannehill multiple times and stopping Henry. Thought DA finally assembled the team to play the way it needed to with a top D and complimentary offense.

I was there.
Was thinking "Super Bowl"

I have harbored an irrational hatred for Jerry Rice and later Kurt Warner, for decades now. Both good guys and great players.
