14. New Orleans Saints. Looking for a Cardinals copycat? Taking a page from Arizona and Clancy Pendergast, the Saints were wise to hire an aggressive defensive coordinator in Gregg Williams. They need an attacking style on that side of the ball to match what they have offensively. Drew Brees can carry a team like Warner — more consistency and better road results are key.

Hope for the same results as Arizona this year, except winning the Super Bowl!

With an attacking defense - I say we win 13 or 14.

Man, we need so much help on def. On the surface, it may not be bad, but the reality is if those ends don't step up, and I mean in a big way, to provide pressure, we'll have the same shite. Our safeties are brutal and don't see any way of significantly upgrading them. Again, Harper is alright on the surface, but anyone who understands football can see the other teams exploiting him in the passing game. Just imagine if we added a decent safety to the other side, they would pick on him religiously.

we need a top flight ball-hawking safety thru FA or the draft... even with harper. that would cover his slack play. hopefully grant comes back healthy and he and smith will actually do something. shanle, vilma, and fujita are not the problem. in fact i think they are the strength of the unit.

we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!! Playoffs All the fans say we need alot on defense well i beg to differ Greg Williams tooked the Washinton Redskins who had a very bad defense i think they had the worst d one year and made them top five his first year there. Now i also know people are saying he did nothing in Jacksonville but he didnt have total controll over the d. Im not saying he is a miracle worker but i think if he can make our D top 10 and our ofense stays in the top five Playoffs and Superbowl here we come heck we got the same schedule the year we went to NFC championship game.

funny how most sites make their power rankings hard to find once the season ends. It was quite story but who did not have division winners Miami and Atlanta in the bottom 5 to start the year? Arizona and Baltimore were in the bottom half of most preseason as well. I care little what these after the fact polls say.

Don't forget that you need the personnel to be successful with that type of defense.

I'm not saying we can't improve, but let's be realistic here.

With our schedule, 9-10 wins sounds about right. But luckily, the rest of our division basically plays teh same schedule, so let's just hope we can win the South.

That would probably be a terrible thing to have happen. Just get our hopes up for nothing. I can't remember the last time a team dominated their way through the regular season and still won the SuperBowl.
