Why doesnt anybody believe Chase Daniel could be good one day?

Because they chose to have Brunell look horrible for a whole game instead of putting Chase in when they seem to have activated him specifically to get playing time in the last game.

Brees will be listed as the Saints' third quarterback, behind Brunell and rookie Chase Daniel.

Hope the Saints stay away from McCoy, we need defense plus a RB.

McCoy to the Saints at 32 is VERY appealing IMHO.

So... you hear that other teams... we like mccoy at 32... you better make a trade up with us to get him and give us awesomeness as compensation.

Really!? This would be really stupid!!!!!!!! IMHO

What has he done except be one of the finest individuals in college football history? Along with the fact that he is exceptionally smart, had a great career, is a winner, is coachable, and he is VERY ACCURATE and athletic, and a strong arm.

Hmmm, sounds like I just described Drew Brees doesn't it!

Comments to the contrary are jsut uneducated talkers who really don't understand what makes good pros in this day and age. Look around the league and then comment.

He can't take a hit. Brees take hits well.

McShay is the worst analyst of them all.. He use to just be a puppet.. now he is trying to break away from that and establish his own thing.. but he's just stupid.

Mike Mayock is the best *media* talent evaluator in the game.

It's impossible for us to gage Daniels see we really haven't seen anything of him in the pros. Maybe SP thinks Daniels is more of a project and needs time to develope. If this is the case we will see a lot of Daniels in the preseason. If the Saints pick up McCoy, Daniels and Brunell probably will be gone come the season opener.

Alabama says STFU Colt.

nd he is VERY ACCURATE and athletic, and a strong arm.

Completed a lot of passes, but he played in a very QB friendly system with better talent around him than 75% of the teams he played against.

I'll give you he is more athletic than most starting NFL QB's but in the NFL he isn't going to run like he did college. I think he ran like a 4.7 or so at the combine. Faster than most QB's but on the NFL level he isn't outrunning DE's with that.

He is arm is good enough for the NFL, but nothing special.

I'm not going to say Colt won't make it in the NFL but lets hold off on the Drew Brees comparisons.

uhhh I don't really see many saying Colt isn't worthy of the pick...they're saying we shouldn't pick him because we ummm sorta already have someone that is pretty good at that position...

We sign Alex Brown and pick best available player! We need a back up QB! Teams will be teeing off on Brees! Wake up people!

Just for the record; are you saying that teams haven't been "teeing off on Brees"?

If they haven't, some coaches need to have a little "chit chat" with all of their high priced DEs and Speed Rushers we played the last 4 years.

I prefer to give credit to the OL for all of clean jerseys Brees has thrown back into the dirty clothes basket after games.

i really hate this argument. so i guess you have to play in a qb adverse system to be a good nfl qb?

Colt is the winningest and most accurate qb in college football history. he played for texas, not some gimmick team. he will be a great nfl qb if he stays healthy, maybe the best in this draft

No but it helps if you play in a system that asks you to make the same type of throws they do in the NFL

Great so he has 4 more wins than David Greene and the same amount of National Championships

Which ran a gimmick type offense. Still Colt's got a shot, just don't think people should compare him to Drew Brees just yet

Colt will make a decent QB in the NFL. And I'll just go out on a limb and state that he has a better NFL career than Tim Tebow.

Comparing to when Drew came out of college, not his talent today.
