I think I read on here somewhere that Fields' year 2 stats line up almost perfectly with Josh Allen and Hurts. Not saying he would make the same year 3 step as them, but it would be a hell of a lot more fun watching him play than Dalton.

Perhaps Hurts, but Allen is simply a different QB type. He's huge an physical. Hurts is much better built, and didn't have 91 sacks in his first 2 years. He literally has the highest sack rate per pass attempt I believe for any QB with more than 300 pass attempts in his first two years (he had 588) and the only person higher than him with less pass attempts is Randall Cunningham with less than half the attempts (290) .

Fields was supposed to be much more polished than Allen coming in because Allen didn't consistently face top level college teams.

Guy is a talented runner with a decent arm, but is basically Jayden Daniels with more bulk. He's been awful in the NFL passing, and most legit scouts think you drop him now for Young with #1 pick and don't look back for multiple reasons.

He may turn out to be good, but Hurts and Allen are the exceptions, not the rule, and Philly had to completely transform their offense to fit Hurts. Allen just got better with actual experience against better competition.

I would do a package deal Fields for Thomas and Peat.

I'd send them 12 in a heartbeat for Justin Fields - assuming we have a new OC.

With Pete still here? No chance he gets any better development than he's getting already.

Fields was going to the medical tent damn near every game this year. Can’t sustain the type of punishment he puts his body through even if he’s a big guy. His passing acumen has been rudimentary to put it nicely. He needs a lot of work to become an actual threat as a quarterback.
