IDK, I know a lot of ju-jitsu guys and gals use it before they train. According to Joe Rogan it helps you focus and stuff.

At this point I don't think the Saints should rule out anything.

Texas - tried grass, couldn't make it work

The Texans played on grass for 13 years before going to field turf. It was a tray system that was moved into and out of the parking lot at times but remained in place with the roof open for most if not all of the season. It looked great and seemed to be playing well until a few players complained about stepping in voids between the trays and it was quickly ditched mid-season for field turf. The fact it was there for over a decade with no issues leads me to believe it was a one off poor install, or the Texans jumped at the cost/maintenance savings. I was on it pre-game a few times around 2005 and could not locate the seams even when trying. I wish they would go back to it.

Our field turf needs to be replaced to some thing that is less injury prone.

We definitely have the "worst" of the 3 styles of field turf. Us and the Bengals and a couple other teams. They did studies last offseason and our style causes the most injuries, it's called "split seam" or something and it has to do with how the blades of fake grass are woven into the base of the field.

I would think with the savings of not having to maintain real grass, the NFL should at least mandate that FieldTurf teams have the very best and safest artificial turf that money can buy.

With the new CBA, you’d have to be an idiot to get suspended for using it.

I’m pretty sure Lynch was under the influence here, seems like it worked out pretty well for him:
