Brooks was no where near the worst QB the Saints have ever put on the field. He was average with moments of decent.
The fact that Brooks and Hebert are actually 2 of the better QB's the Saints have had is just sad.
There has been just one horrible QB after another for years.

And?
He was still no where near the worst QB the Saints have tried to get through a season with.

I felt the moment deserved a smidgen of immortaility

Ahhh, gotcha.
I remember watching Tom Dempsey kick that damn field goal against the Lions.
I don't think some of these people truly understand the levels of awful that the Saints have placed on the field.

todd bouman was pretty bad
Honestly, Brunell's start left a bit to be desired.
That said, Doug Nussmeier HAS to be the correct answer.
He's the guy they went to AFTER Shuler, Hobert AND Wuerffel.
I'd be surprised if the guy tied his own shoes without help.

I would say Heath Shuler or Billy Joe Turnover.

No way Walsh is one of the worst QB's... Took over a 1-3 team and led them to 8-8 record and playoffs. Then the dude was put in a bad spot with fan and mora favorite bob hebert coming back... The criticism of play on Walsh was when he was in a back-up role either mid game or starting for an injured hebert.
I think Walsh's best performance came in a game against the Eagle's in Philly where he replaced Hebert after Bobby got some teeth knocked out. The Saints were trailing when Walsh took over but still led the Saints to a crucial win.

The defense led them to 8-8.

Yeah the same defense that was 1-3 before Walsh got there...

Here you go:
Walsh in '90
As Starter: 6-5
Stats: 175/327 1970 12TD's 13 INT's 10 sacks for -76 yards 67.5 QB rating

Bouman only started 3 games, Nussmeier 2, and they only started due to injury
that would be a thread who was the worst QB to ever start a Saints game. There's a boatload of one hit blunders out there.
For that I might nominate goat's guy...
Karl Sweetan 3 starts, 0-2-1
38att 14comp 34.6%comp 1TD 9INTs QB Rating of 12.6
Trivia: tied NFL record for longest pass 99yds in 1966 for Lions. Was rumored to have tried to sell his playbook to another team.

I didn't start watching the Saints until 1987 but it's gotta be one of the Billy Joes, right?
