Beating San Francisco on the road 35-0 at half and lose 38-35.

Sunday night football in Dallas. Saints lead 27-6 at start of 4th quarter and then give up three fourth quarter touchdowns to Dallas to tie; then lose 30-27 in OT.

The 49’ers loss was awful. Defense or lack thereof during SF’s final drive almost got me arrested. I almost threw my beer against the wall in the bar where we were watching.

*** 35-7
It was 28-0 before SF scored
Archie put on an absolute clinic on the 49ers defense that day
But he couldn’t overcome the awfulness of the Saints D

Carney missing extra point after the miracle lateral td.
Any game where Jason David or Eli Apple was covering for the go ahead td.

The next Sunday Dallas beat The Saints 40-3, what a way to start off the season, if I hadn't have been 9, I would've been an Alcoholic after 2 weeks into the season

Monday Night, 82 I believe it was maybe 83 against the Raiders. Upbat half. I woke up at 12 or 13 with a loss.

I remember a kid being surprised they'd actually lost the next day at school. Went to bed early, I guess.

Help me out old guys, which game was it that Stabler threw one or two interceptions, then lost a fumble and prevented us from going to the playoffs? I think he sold out…..

The loss to a terrible Rams team that regular season was even worse because ultimately that loss is what forced the Saints to be on the road for that particular game against the 49ers
I was coming to post this exact thing. 2010 had 2 all time shitshow losses as well. I remember we lost to a horrible Cardinals team where their only TDs were a fumble return by an offensive lineman, a defensive fumble return and a pick 6. Also the home game against the Browns where their black punter ran a 70 yard fake punt and some random old arse journeyman defensive end with gray hair got 2 pick sixes.

all 4 losses in playoffs under mora were bad.
1992 was the worst as it was a major choke job by bobby hebert.

Black Sunday. 33-14 vs Bucs in ‘77 is up there
That Cleveland game of ‘99 though, if I remember correctly we were set to kick a game winning FG with 22 seconds left, 1 timeout.. clock was running. Instead of letting it run down to 4 seconds, Billy Joe Tolliver called the timeout with 22 seconds remaining. Ditka freaked on the sideline when he did. We kicked the go ahead FG only to leave time for a Hail Mary

Based on this thread topic, sounds like you’re still hurt and reliving the past. Move on to the present and be an optimist. Life is to short to dwell on the Saints snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
I rarely ever post anymore. I use to really active on here under another name. I forgot I made this thread.
The first reply reminded me why I don't post here. People behave weird and try to one up you or find something wrong to point out. It's behavior you'd never experience in real life for the most part.

2011 against the 49ers.
That and the Rams cost us 2 Super Bowls. Throw in the ridiculous 2x vs. the Vikings and Mike Thomas sabotaging the TB game, and Drew could've been at Brady's level.
Nobody talks about due to Gregg Williams crapping himself at the end, but Pierre Thomas getting literally knocked out as he was about to score if one of the most impactful plays in Saints history.

I thought that game was going a completely different direction after Reggie’s punt return td
Pass play, wasn’t a punt return. I believe he waved at Urlacher as he was going into the end zone.

The home game against Minnesota that we lost when Reggie had 2 punt returns. And was a shoelace from a 3rd return.
