I know how this goes. Y'all root for the Saints and anytime they play bad for a stretch, its like frick the saints. They have played as good as they could this year, with pretty good results. Its just u 50_60+ year olds wanna revert to Oh the Saints suck again. Sorry the saints sucked for so long but they have coach Payton and Bree's. Don't forget that's our whole reason for success. Y'all are the reason saints fans suck. Don't forget we have a super bowl, geezers

Amen to this. The group of people on this board who consider themselves "realistic" and loyal fans bc they consistently shite on the Saints makes me look at what I thought was a great fan base very differently. Also makes me wonder what kind of people spend a considerable amount of time on the internet hoping that their team falls apart and then feel somewhat validated when they do. Interesting world we live in. We really hit on our 2016 draft and regardless of how good/bad of a coach Sean Payton is, I truly believe he cares about this city/team and will try to leave it in as good of a situation as he can.

Right now we have the 8th pick, Carolina is 7th. Probably going to be tough to get a better pick than number 6, some bad teams at 1-6.

Last place schedule and #6-8 pick would be nice

pop quiz bro.

two straight 7-9 seasons and currently sitting at 5-8 and you want to question some fans frustrations?

Yeah that seems fair.

this board is a fricking joke both ways right now

Did I say don't be frustrated?? I'm frustrated as hell. I'm actually saying quite the opposite. People on here actually enjoy the losing and seem to identify with it. They want it. Go ahead and take part of the post completely out of context though. Still waiting for the "pop quiz"

This is a bullshite line of thinking. This team is not far away from reverting back to the Saints franchise of old. That's why everyone is freaking out right now, we don't want to see this happen. If there isn't enough talent on this team to go 10-6, which would win the division, then that's a FO problem and needs to be addressed. Our ST sucks every year yet we keep the same ST coach. Position coaches are kept when their units are terrible year in and year out. Hoping for changes so your average team doesn't become the Cleveland Browns is not getting off on losing.

Saints will lose the next one and then play like SB contenders to win the last 2 to finish at 7-9. During the 7-9 years we always play with with more urgency in the final game than any other game of the season.

I was referring to our records the last few years and currently.

Who in the hell would be happy with those numbers?

also, when the team does well I'm on here sharing in the enjoyment too. If they had a turd game like yesterday (on offense especially) I'll cut them down for it.

I call it like I see it.

I may not have the most popular opinions on here but at least they are mine and they are not influenced by what some talking heads on TV and radio have to say about it.

That would be a smart move...not sure our front office has that sort of foresight any longer. We'll see.

I think we'll win one more. Probably the Bucs at home (helping Atlanta win the Div? ). So where would that land us... 10th?

We would have to trade up. Even if we lose out we wont get him. I dont think Payton will trade up for him when we could get Christian McCaffrey in the second round. This is what we tried to get in Spiller and to contend we need this joker role player.

We have too many positions to fill to even consider a luxury like that...

LF is good but Cook is the better all around back especially in the Saints offense.

You draft best defensive player available! Then draft OL and a TE at some point.

That's not how the Saints roll. They're far more likely to trade up or back into the 1st round than trade down.

The Saints go after specific players, they don't bank on volume. Quality over quantity and such.

We could trade someone on the team we don't need or want for a pick though. Stephone Anthony maybe.

Just like last year, we will win 2-3 remaining meaningless games. Finish 7-9 and pick in our famous 12-13th pick position and pick another fricking PROJECT PLAYER who will take 3 seasons if that to contribute!!!!!
