Saints trade the 14th pick, 2024 2nd round pick and 2025 1st for the 2nd overall pick and take JD5. Let him sit behind Carr for a year then show him the door and give the keys to Jayden.

Carr is too large of a cap hit to not build around.

This narrative needs to die. Saints probably won't draft a QB, but this isn't a reason. We can get out of Carr's contract after next season without much of a cap hit, assuming no restructure.

Jayden will be gone in the top 3 along with Caleb Williams and Drake Maye.

2 names I've seen mentioned:
Verse
Bowers

I think either one would make a big impact, for different reasons. Verse is going to be a beast rushing the passer, and I think Bowers would push this offense to near-elite level.

I'd love for Penix to fall

I thought he was projected much later. Is he rising now? The injury history is a legit concern with him. Half the starters in the league got hurt this year. Coming in injury prone and bring expected to lead a team is a risky move.

We trade the pick to the Cinci for Joe Burrow

The Saints would ruin Joe's career. I wouldn't wish that on him.

Big assumption right now, especially with the Ram/Latt issues.
