Wish the Saints would trade for Cincy’s backup QB, he’s talented and ready to lead a team

Saints need a QB now who is ready to lead on day one, not one they have to coach up!

You get this from his 2-7 record as a starter? His 56% completion percentage? 10 TDs to 6 INTs?
What about his history in the league tells you he is ready to take over any team day one without being "coached up"?

Saints have 3 quarterbacks better than this dude.

Don't we have enough backup qb's playing for our team already?!

Send them all of our draft choices left from 2023 and 2024 then sign him to a 10 year $250 Million contract guaranteed. Go all out Loomis for him.

It’s astounding some of the QB suggestions I see Saints fans make. I think we need to make this clear.
Brees was an anomaly that rarely happens. The Saints will likely never again be in the right position at the right time to get a true franchise QB through free agency or even a trade.
Our best hope is to hit on one in the draft at some point, which is also easier said than done, but infinitely more likely still. Gotta have the capital to do that though

Maybe we can do better.

Expensive and a position that can easily be drafted in rounds 2-4.
We were just in the ballgame for one this off-season. They just didn’t want to guarantee that salary.
