Good find. Notice he doesn't have him getting inducted

This dude also only got 2 of the 7 right this year. The 2 he got right where Emmitt and Jerry. Even I got those right

He was a pro bowler like 11 out of 13 years. When it comes to positions like OL, I don't think they are held to the same degree as QB's when it comes to Superbowls and such. He was great, and if he doesn't get in first ballot, it is a damn shame.

And he will go in as a Saint, whenever he does happen to get in. Does the NFL do that anyway? I thought all of their teams were listed by their name.

no, they don't go in as any team.

Rickey went in as a Saint and 49er equally
Jerry went in as a 49er, Raider, and Seahawk(not a Bronco because he never made it past TC)
Emmit went in as a Cowboy and Cardinal
etc.

Bump

Roaf played nine seasons with the Saints from 1993-2001
All-Pro (first or second team) seven times
Seven consecutive Pro Bowls from 1994-2000
Saints Hall of Fame in 2008.
Roaf was named to the NFL’s 1990’s All-Decade Team

Former Saints offensive tackle Willie Roaf was one of five first-year eligible candidates for the Pro Football Hall Fame’s Class of 2011, the organization announced on Monday.

Also first player to really rock the Sarah Palin glasses

The Hall of Fame is calling on fans and asking them to vote for who they believe should be included in the Class of 2011 at www.fanschoice.com

1st ballot I hope.

he would have been a saint from start to finish if not for asses like haslett and horn. Joe Horn is the most overrated saint in history. I hate to be negative, but everybody does know ricky would have never made it in if he didn't pay his back-child support, right???

I disagree with many of you. I don't think Roaf is Hall of Fame worthy.

He has an impressive resume' of all-pro lists and pro bowls.

But that alone doesn't guarantee entry.

I really see nothing else that makes him a candidate. He was not a leader on the team, he never won a championship on any of the teams he played for. He wasn't part of a "legendary unit" like the Hogs or the Steel Curtain. Nobody outside of Louisiana and Kansas City could pick him out of a lineup of great offensive linemen.

I have a lot of respect for Willie Roaf. He was a great Saint.

But I think that's all he was.

"This. Media (people who actually vote on this) are already forecasting future classes and I've yet to see his name mentioned by anyone, anywhere.

If he'd played in NY with the exact same career, he'd be first ballot. But he didn't."
