Willie Gay is a rising star?

Dove into his film a touch. Basically his highlights.
This will be his 5th season. I assume he is getting starting snaps now in Nola so I expect his game to develop even more.
His pass coverage looks elite and his rush and run stuff is also excellent.
Dude can fly. I’m excited to watch him in DAs scheme. Underrated signing for sure.

Werner will be just fine. Our lack of pass rush made Werner take a step back. He is still a good LB, and will be starting.
Werner and Gay on the outside is a lot of speed. Very encouraged by our starting LBs.

We usually only play two line backers at a time. We basically run a nickel as our base defense.

I could see them adjusting that a bit of 3 of our LBs are good, especially if Gay is really a sideline-to-sideline kind of guy.

I love the fact that he’s a 2 time Super Bowl champion and 3 time super Bowls player. That’s the type of experience this team needs. Prior to him Honey Badger was the only player on the team with championship experience. People underestimate this value.

I didn't realize that they got Gay for just 3 mil, that changes my perspective. Also, I like that Baun broke out last season, but I thought that they still used him wrong in his breakout season. It's funny how to me how all of a sudden these players have been breaking out for them and then moving on immediately to better signing deals with other teams. I think that the LBers they have at depth right now could be the next breakout star. Players like DiMarco Jackson or maybe a Anfernee Orji, Monty Rice or somebody.

Depends on if its Pete 2022 or Pete 2023 in 2024. Regardless he is too athletic not to find plenty of playing time.

Bad thing is that he is probably on the upswing and we have signed him to a one year deal...
He will shine and will demand a huge contract from the next team which we will not be able to match.
