We got our asses whipped by Tampa Bay. We barely beat Cam Newton. What do you think the rest of the season will look like? I think 10-6

We played a shite game, but nothing about that game was normal. We had our head coach go down in the offensive series, it was our third straight road game, and we still almost wound up winning that game.

ETA: We have yet to lose a game this year where victory wasn't within reach. I can't remember the last loss that was like that for us. Can you?

Toss up. I wouldn't be suprised to see TB, NO and ATL all split 1-1 with each other. Whoever gets that 1 loss to Carolina is done-zo's.

Sadly, TB controls it's own destiny the most having beat ATL and NO already though.

I said 12-4 at the beginning of the season with a guaranteed loss to Green Bay and give or take 3 division games. We better start winning now because Newton, Freeman, and Ryan will terrorize this division for years to come.

WTF are you talking about? We have yet to play Atlanta and get Tampa in the Dome in 3 weeks. We still play Detroit and NYG at home and it remains to be seen if SF can keep it up all year.
It'll be hard to get the #1 seed, but #2 and especially the South Division are ours to lose

I didn't think it was hard?! I said TB controls their own destiny quite simply because they're 2-0 in the DIVISION and 2-0 against the "best" teams from the division (ATL and NO). Therefore they have an easier road to winning the division.

Not really. it was only a 6 pt game. turnovers whipped our arse. they capitalized on them.

yes, we will win the division.... unfortunately, we don't have the defense to make a run at championship, so that's about all that we can really hang our hat on, the way i see it as of now...

They really didn't even capitalize much off of them. Defense did well in preventing too many points off of turnovers. At worst, they could have gotten 18 more points off of turnovers, for a total of 28. 10 doesn't look so bad now, does it?

Yes, but it's going to be close. We MUST beat Tampa in a few weeks and then hope to split with Atlanta.

And we failed to create turovers on defense.

Quick, name an NFC defense that has looked elite this year. I will wait.
