Poor Fuaga had to try and block two people at times on Ruiz whiffs.

Ruiz was the best pass blocker on the OL last year and actually one of the best G in the league. His run block just happened to also be near league worst

Ruiz best among everyone on our team at pass blocking?
Well damn my old eyes didn't catch that. Apologies to Ruiz.

Because when watching the games you will see Ruiz get confused on a stunt and completely whiff. Then for the next 2 series no one will get penetration against him. So while he may be the best in the team, I’d guess he’s also has the most misses

I suspect the first moves we see may be brining back Fortner and Radunz or guys of their ilk. Right now we have no flexibility on the OL

You have no one to backup Banks and McCoy right now. No starting LG. Guys like Sherman and Richards certainly looked like backups

There’s a lot of work to be done on the OL. First order of business imo

Fortner might get starter money if there’s that bad a dearth of centers.

I’d see what McCoy could fetch and roll with Ruiz at center.

Boy I can't think of a better center to help Tyler next year than Ceasar Ruiz.

I can't believe we drafted him to play guard when he had only played center and was dead set on playing center, then extending him was insane. What's left on his deal

Wait till you realize McCoy was a guard that we moved to center…

So basically a full time center though at A&M

Ruiz started 5 games as a freshman at RG. His entire sophomore year at center, his entire junior year at center. I think he graded out as one of the top if not the best pass protecting center in college.

Loomis drafts him when we already have an established young center, and moves him to a position he hadn’t played in years and only a couple of games at.

I think we need to keep Ruiz at least for this year with his C versatility since Fortner is gone with his market

i was a proponent of moving mccoy to left guard few years ago. mccoy has the better athleticism for it. Now its time to move on from ruiz and could be the smart idea to trade mccoy if we get good compensation.

Agreed, to many teams need centers. Someone will pay Fortner starter money. He played good last year.

I dint think we get any real cap savings by getting rid of Ruiz this year anyway.

We need to put Trindon Holliday at DE. Think about that speed coming off the edge.
