The truth behind this is that Sean loves lousiana players, he just doesn't draft players to players to stay on the team.

CollinS would have been perfect pick. Jarvis would not have to have treated for, and would have been better then cooks

There are hundreds of colleges in the US. There are 53 roster spots on the Saints. The chips just haven't fallen in that way for the Saints to have any LSU players right now, THEY HAVE HAD THEM BEFORE. The fact that people come on this board and say that they think the saints have "blacklisted" LSU players is literally the dumbest fricking thing I've ever heard in my entire life.

Must be a lot of Tulane homers on this place cause there's a lot of hate for LSU. And hell yeah they have great players, deal with it. At this point they probably have more skill position talent than the saints. And to the Mett vs GG, are you kidding. It's bad when we're getting excited about former practice squad guys. Damn shame. And all these so called diamonds in the rough has left us nothing but a of rocks. East coast raiders baby.

I will say, it is certainly frustrating that the Saints targeted & traded up for a short WR (who has been at best a solid #2), but had no interest to move up for ODB.

It would have cost way too much to move up to draft ODB

Considering how we used the picks trading the whole draft would've been a good decision this time.

well in hindsight, we could have traded our entire draft and not missed a beat

I'm on an LSU ,message board. Please forgive me for not talking as though Mett is a football God.

LSU is the greatest school on earth, and they have a history of producing quality NFL QBs

You don't have to be an LSU homer to think Mett has more upside than Grayson. Most people would agree with that.

As opposed to Colorado St. lengthy history? That's another miss.

Well, I'll be dipped in shite, you're right. Ok, Joey Motherfrickin Porter.

Back to the topic.... Mett had the injury that might have scared some teams away, but he's definitely a starting quarterback in the NFL and I wish him many years of success. Wish he was a Saint right now, he would be getting playing time.

I don't think the Saints had to draft him or have to trade for him. All I'm saying is Grayson doesn't have higher upside.

I like Mett but he lacks mobility. If you have a really stout line then sure he can be a pretty good player.

I was hoping Houston would give him a shot. I do think Grayson has a chance to be a good player with development.

Yea, I get what you're saying. Behind the right offensive line, Mett could pick apart a defense with his arm and confidence. I think a lot of people discount his mental toughness/awareness. I believe he has a really high football IQ. He's not going to do much outside a pocket, but his arm is upper tier in the league and he will sling it without hesitation.

With what I've seen from Grayson (small sample size), I think he too can be a good qb for us one day.

The Saints clearly have a shitty front office based on the lack of recent success and current roster. That the Saints have no LSU players is a big problem. Plenty of opportunities to get some LSU players that would be a fit. Mid level guys such as Ron Brooks, Trai Turner, Minter, Perry Riley, Kelvin Shepard, Lavar Edwards, Bennie Logan, Ego Ferguson, Mett, Lael Collins, etc. That they took Vacarro over Reid was stupid. It just appears that they are actively avoiding LSU players and that is dumb.

If the Saints were winning and had a good roster then I think this wouldn't be an issue.

There are 2 teams in the NFL without a player from LSU, and 1 of them is an hour from Tiger Stadium. That doesn't strike you as odd?

So wait, there's another NFL team actively avoiding LSU players?
