I am as big a Saints fan as they come. But come on people. You are displacing the anger. Saints had a bounty system in place. They were repeatedly told to stop. They not only did not stop it, but continued to lie about it and make sure it was covered up nicely. With that being said, the Saints go 12-4 this year and beat Ravens in the Super Bowl 34-22.

the punishment was over the top. to make a man have no contact with anyone in the NFL for a year when his entire life revolves around football is fricking bullshite.

You think it was only Saints fans booing Goodell at the draft tonight?

People outside of the Saint fanbase don't like Goodell, either you are an idiot or trolling

Not for the bounty system alone. The lying, and cover up so that it could continue bought those harsh penalties on. That was pretty obvious.

CSP, Williams, and Loomis were the idiots. Like it or not the NFL has been publicly cracking down on illegal hits that put others at risk for injuries, not to mention discussing this at NFL meetings. These three decide to move forward with a bounty system for cart-offs, etc or at least Williams. Then the others lie to cover it up so that it can continue when repeatedly told to stop.

The punishment was too harsh and for anyone that really doesn't think similar stuff takes place elsewhere you're fooled.

would have been much less if they had not covered it up and lied so that it could continue.

if they had covered it up, lied, said they stopped and it not only continued, but grew, then yes.

I wish the owners would find a way to get rid of Goodell.
