The math makes sense. These are predetermined situational calls.

But they could've done it earlier and didn't.

I get the math, but I thought you wait until the 4th Q to start using the chart, otherwise you never know what combinations of fieldgoals or TDs may come and you may end up chasing that point the rest of the game

The math makes sense? It makes no sense to try to go up by 22.

Math makes 0 sense. Washington had 6, not 7. No clue what Sean was doing there.

The math doesn’t make sense .... kick the extra point and we are up 21....3 scores... what am I missing?

Drew breaks the record at home. Lose by 1 point. It’s all set up by the nfl.

I was hoping someone would ask this question, because I thought the same thing. The Saints would have a full 2-TD (14 PT) lead right now had they simply kicked the XP. This is a prime example of how teams go for two unnecessarily. It made zero rational sense to go for 2 after that TD. Hopefully, Brees stays hot after the Redskins make their halftime adjustments and that coaching blunder doesn't come back to haunt us.

You don’t go for two there unless you are going to go for two every time. There is no other argument really. And they don’t go for two every time so...

Exactly. You aren't missing a thing. It's the ones defending going for 2 in that situation who are clueless. A full 3-TD (21 pt)lead was there for the taking. Now the Redskins are within 13 points.

I think they got caught in the moment and made a bad decision. I hope it doesn’t come back to bite them.

+1. The math dictated that the Saints should have been up 21 points at that point.

Yep. It was a purely emotional decision and not a rational one. But the way Brees is throwing the ball, I guess it won't matter in THIS game.
