Why the Saints look like they do

1. Dennis (Head Coach)
1b. Pete (OC) The Offense Designer
2. O-line
3. Lack of effort (because of the lack of energy by Dennis)
4. A wore out Defense (on the field too long)

It’s a production league. This roaster should win 10 or 11 games and they are more than likely not going to.

I think this will change. Maybe I'm just hopeful. Gayle isn't worried about day to day operations, Mickey tried to ride the "continuity train". That only gets limited credit for DA, etc. I expect a coaching change next season.

Definitely 1 and 2.

When you look at the successful coach hires in the last decade or so, it’s mostly successful up and coming offensive coordinators plucked from teams. (Although there is definitely a fair share of failures here too) 9/14 playoff teams last year had offensive minded head coaches

If you look at most of the defensive coordinators hired, their defense ends up being good but the team is mediocre due to lackluster offense, coach then blames it on the offense which buys you a year or two at least.

Of course, you could have a defensive minded head coach that is still successful, but they have to be great leaders and be able to instill a team culture. (Also, able to fill a staff) Dennis Allen doesn’t really fit this mold.

There’s a reason why you see a lot of defensive coordinators that are retreads from the head coach discard bin

Saints need to quit trading up in drafts. It is killing the future of the franchise.

If kamara gave a shite about this team maybe he should quit thugging it up in the off season.
