Have been analyzing who could fall a lot. But what makes players fall is others rising. Whose draft stock do we want to be rising to push up into the top 31 and nudge our favorites down?

Here ya go, cheer them on-

Colt McCoy
Tim Tebow
any WR beyond Bryant- Tate, LaFell, Benn
Ryan Matthews
Jahvid Best
G Mike Iupati
LBs Sergio Kindle and Jerry Hughes, Hughes might work here but they both look more prototypical 3-4 to me
CB McCourty
not unbelieveable to see CBs Franks or Jackson slip in
OTs are always premiumly valued, there's a few that are at the 1st/2nd margin. Pull for Campbell, Davis, Ducasse, Brown, and Saffold to get a call before #32

If half of those went it could be a problematic which one do you like most choice

good player, maybe some OT in time but certainly inside to start off with. So he'd be bench or move Nicks down which is needless.

Moving Nicks to RT, adding Iupati to guard would be great.

A) It improves the overall starting line performance as well as depth with Stinchy being the first to come off if a guard or tackle went down.

B) Makes us a more physical dominating line.

C) Gives us a little flexibility with Nicks and Evans both looking for big deals VERY shortly.

You want to bench a guy who had a good year last season and fricking owned the best LDE in the NFL in the biggest game of the year via moving a guy whose proven to be a fantastic guard to OT all for a rookie? Jesus, your plan could literally downgrade 3 positions at once (OT, OG, McCray or Ayodele's replacement).

I wouldn't mind depth and upgrading the o-line. Stinchy is a mauler and it'd be nice if we can continue to improve our run game which helped our offense and team win a championship this year. Continually improving the run game will help that much more with our prolific passing game. Besides... stinchy can't have much left on his deal either. Anybody know?

he's a quality player but

A) You may say Nicks to RT is great. Not great enough last year to do it and let Stinch walk. So at best, it would be an experiment into the unknown

Moving Stinch, an All Pro RT to the bench in the 2nd year of a fresh contract to try out an unproven guy doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

B) more physical perhaps, but that doesn't always equate to more dominating

C) agree on but plugging a front 7 D need would seem to accomplish more than providing future flexibility. Contract crossroads are perpetual. Running back money for '11 will be pivotal.

this thread also made me think, why are we the world champions?

In beisbol it's an axiom that you win with stars up the middle: C, P, 2B, SS, & CF. In current NFL feetball I'd call the most important positions QB, CB, & LT. When was the last time you can remember we weren't looking at those positions as a possible first round pick? Maybe never. We not only are studly, we have depth. Giving Mickey the stroke on the side.

QB and Oline are the least likely 1st round draft choices for us, imo.

We have plenty depth at tackle and i seriously doubt we spend a first rounder on a backup guard.

Goodwin is cheap and also coming off of a pro bowl

I really think we're gonna go DE. Loomis said at his presser that they were gonna look in-house for Fujita's replacememnt at OLB

Considering none of our LT's and neither of our starting guards are locked up long term... I disagree. And stinchy at the price we have him would make for a great 1A backup IMO to ensure a fantastic line for years.

Sorry, you dont bench your pro bowl starter to take a gamble on a rookie guard from Idaho

Like someone else said, you're putting at least 3 solidified starting positions at risk. Thats a ton of unnecessary shuffling.

as far as O Line I didn't put Pouncey on the list. I could see him as BPA, coming in and immediately starting over Goodwin and be there a decade. Jahri, Pouncey, Nicks would be sick.

No Gresham either. I'm not as high on him as pre combine but I wouldn't put him out of the realm of possibility as a BPA they would take.

I'm a pouncey fan as well, i'd be okay with that as well....

And if Iupituitei dude is there... BPA BPA BPA BPA BPA... you disagree... BPA Back in yo face/.

That was a totally differrent situation

You didnt have 2 major wholes in your defense going into last year's draft. Theyd just signed Sharper,Greer and Porter coming back. Linebacker and the Dline was set.

We have no clue who the starter at OLB and DE will be right now.

Plus it was assumed Jenkins would take Gay's starting spot, but his holdout killed that. When he did finally take the spot injuries set him back
