I really wanted Justin Houston in the 2011 draft. I know he had the weed issue come out during the draft process, but for a 3rd round pick hes been legit.

Also wanted Matt Forte in the 2008 draft. I know we got Tracy Porter (which turned out amazing) but in the moment of the draft I was furious they passed up on a great all around RB to pair with Reggie.

I wanted Cunningham as well. I bet the coaches were hoping that Marcus Williams was available in the 3rd round, but they were forced to take him due to the run on Safeties that was happening in the 2nd.

Anzalone wasn't a bad consolation prize though.

Derick Johnson is the one that hurts the most. I was certain we were trading up for him, but went with Jammal Williams. Hurts even more when you realize Thomas Davis and Derick Johnson were picked right after him.

In the moment, I thought they were trading up to make sure they get Aaron Rodgers who was free falling and assumed to be the #1 pick that draft...oh what could have been

You and me both! I was convinced Deshaun Watson would be an NFL bust...same with Wentz and Goff...

I remember as a kid being excited we picked Alex Molden because he was a CB and that’s what I played. I was 11 at the time and thought he was going to be the greatest corner of all time. Now I’m not so quick to trust the judgment of the organization.

Same here man. And There were talks of us potnetially trying to transition to using a 3-4 that year. So he was perfect in my eyes.

I was one of a lot of people who melted in that thread. I think we were very close to never having Vaccaro though. We missed out on both Star and Sheldon Richardson that year and Danny Shelton two years after that.

I really wanted Alec Ogletree but that year we picked at #15 and I guess that would have been a reach to get him. He got picked by the Rams at #30 in Round 1.

Trey Flowers in 2015.

Derrick Johnson, Texas(Chiefs)

yeah, I wanted him as well.

Wanted Randall Cobb in 2011 and then Bruce Ellington in 2014. I was really high on Ellington but he never really panned out with the 49ers but he with the Texans now I believe.

I remember really wanting Brandin Cooks here. Michael Thomas as well. Only two I can think of where they picked a guy I really wanted on the team.

TJ Watt was a hopeful last draft with that second 1st round pick
Tyrann Mathieu, though I knew he’d be better off elsewhere
